It is with great sorrow and sadness that we must report the death of Freddie Snalam in Chamonix France on Monday, March 11, 2002 in a tragic climbing accident caused by a large avalanche that had been triggered from above him. Words can not begin to express the admiration that we all had and continue to have for this courageous and joyful man. He brought so much joy into the lives of so many. He was an adventurous hero and a role model to us all. His sense of adventure was exceeded only by his sense of humor and his outward compassion for everyone he ever met.
Please take some time to visit his collection of stories, photos, artwork, and humor - chronicling our beloved friend's adventurous and passionate life. He was a friend to everyone whose life he touched, in even the smallest way. He will be terribly missed. God Bless Freddie Snalam. May there be enough adventure in heaven.
